Welcome to Creators Club
The Home of Creative flourishing
Creators Club is here to be a catalyst for creativity in organisations and a collaborative community for creatives, freelancers and changemakers. As professional coaches, we offer coaching, transformational workshops and nationwide events.
From a small networking event in 2017, it’s evolved into a powerful community and coaching platform that inspires so many people.
Our community is full of creatives, freelancers, aspiring artists, self-employed people and purpose-driven entrepreneurs. Because we can’t do it alone and we shouldn’t ever feel like we are.
~ Andy Dunn, Founder & Lead Creator
Our Journey so far…
2017
In January 2017 we hosted our first event in Kings Cross, London. Little did we know we’d have 30 people at the first one and our bright yellow logo would attract so many wonderful creators!
That year we simply committed to doing 12 events (to see how it went) allowing people to ‘pay what they wanted’ to test our innovative way of running networking meetings. We formerly registered the business in June, filed for a Trademark and built an incredible community, attracting people from as far as Brighton and Birmingham.
To top off a great first year, we added a Money Mindset Masterclass and a Freelancers Christmas Party. Creators Club was officially a thing, ready to scale into other cities 🚀
2018
Year two, the year Birmingham and Bristol joined the Creators Club journey, we hosted our first Creators Festival and Andy grappled with the excitement and resistance of “letting go”.
We ran 33 events across 3 cities, enlisted more freelance experts to support the journey and grew our community to almost 500 creators. We experimented with a membership model, added more one-one coaching support and set a goal to become a member owned co-operative organisation. Because in spirit, that’s what it was becoming.
With interest from Barcelona and other Global cities to host their own Creators Club, we knew we were onto something special. The impromptu open-mic finale at the Creators Festival was testament to what happens when creators come together 🌟
2019
Our mission continued to expand with more success stories for our community, a new Education stream to our business and some important “failures”, including launching and stopping in Cambridge, teaching us vital lessons in business scalability.
In October that year we opened up in Newcastle, Andy’s hometown, which was extra special! We added more features and content to our online platform. We ran 80+ events across 5 cities, which was incredibly stretching. And of course, we hosted another wonderful Creators Festival, quickly becoming the highlight of our events calendar!
Oh and, we hired our first full-time creative intern, who nudged us to modernise our branding game and give us a wealth of digital and video skills. Our Golden Tips became helpful for so many creators starting out and trying to scale their mission, just like us!
2020
We started the year focusing on 3 core cities of London, Bristol and Newcastle, planning to grow more sustainably, in turn allowing Andy to step back from leading workshops, to focus on leading the business.
Our Leadership Team grew, and we were excited for our best year yet. But, in March, as everyone else did, we pressed the “Adapt Quickly” button. We made all of our events virtual, Monday Mindset became a game-changer, we increased our one-one coaching capacity and made our membership offer as attractive as possible.
We cancelled our Creators Festival, replacing it with a Virtual Retreat, which worked out astonishingly well. We expanded our reach to a Global Audience with a core UK community.
We added a Members support group, more digital content to help people navigate a “new world”, and miraculously had our best financial year to date! We ended the year hiring new Community Creators and with a brilliant virtual party! Whilst the year was challenging for so many, we did our best to create the joy we could. 🥳
2021
This year, we’ll continue as we left off with our Virtual Coaching, Consulting and Community magic. With our Monday Mindsets, Creative Mastermind sessions, ‘Be Inspired’ Series and other events to support creators.
We surveyed our communities needs at the end of 2020 to ensure we can keep adapting accordingly, moulding our new business plan in the background. Our first internal project is to revamp our branding, messaging and online accessibility.
We’re creating a membership upgrade to include monthly coaching sessions as well as a quarterly goal setting workshop. To keep spirits alive at this difficult time, we’re adding more ‘fun’ social events and a Lunch & Learn drop in .
Beyond that, we’re going with the flow and making wonderful things happen as often as we can.
